It's all tinplate according to the description, could it perhaps be Hornby Clockwork era?
Germany did make a lot of tinplate stuff, some now quite collectable.

looks very 'new'. - especially the fixings you can see..
Chinese modern laser-cut 'free-style' perhaps??
Axle blocks look plasticky to me??
Reminds me of Mamod stuff a little. - No offence meant!

It looks for all the world like Märklin maxi gauge 1 tin. Pop rivet construction.

It appears to be only half the model missing the power unit as there are buffers one end and a hook the other.

It's either a scam or its not... Astute am I not? With the 4 wheel bogie at the front with the steps and buffers I'm thinking it could be part of some sort of crude articulated vehicle if you can imagine having another one of these mirror imaged with a patograph on the roof it may look something like an early articulated something or other..... Or could it be the lead ( or trailing carriage) of a lost push it up a hill type arrangement... Na its just chinese junk....
Sure its odd but hey so is the Manx Electric Railway also the Great Orme and quite a few others.... there are several mountain railways in the "Alps" that this could be trying to emulate the challenge for us is to find a picture of the original... Ok I have wasted my valuable time and have a look at the open "Observation" car behind this A class loco... It's Kiwi I know.....Maybe I need to go to Specsavers????

There are apparently modern repos of Marklin gauge 1 Paris metro cars in tinplate around.
Unfortunately I can't see the original picture in this thread.
Maybe its part of one of these.
