I've hestitated about posting this considering some of the vast railway and impresive empires I see.
We've planned for a while to go outside with a railway but had always planned on O, you may notice that the edge of the lawn has a mowing strip and despite being a typically small, square garden of a modern house there are no square corners only 6' radius curves - come to think of it I don't think the builders gave us many "square" corners IN the house but that's another story.
Anyway the easier availability of G became so attractive that this year my birthday was a bit of a G scale one and having put together from various sources a quantity of track the boss asked if I had enough yet? I knew the answer was no but it sounded like a good idea to lay it out on the grass to see just how far it went.
So not exactly the start of bigger things, just a nice sunny afternoon with daddy playing with his toy train.
By the power of blu-tack and a pocket camers, 1min 8sec of video completely unremarkable except for the fact that after a lot of talking and plotting a train is running, albeit on a temporary track, in the back garden.
