Hi All , I bought 2 5300 sub c 8.4 v nimh packs for my piko 204 conversion.

They were cheap as they had been at the model shop about 2 years as this size is unconventional for rc cars.

Was this a good move. I have decent charger capable of running cycles. Any thoughts.

The model shop owner said they will either take charge or not, and if not it will take it back, but if ok it will be fine with use. They are designed for much higher draw than I will need.

Cheers ian

Hi

Had some packs for 14 years that still seem to work well. Noticed that the latest AA cells are now advertised as holding their charge. This was Duracell in Sainsburys yesterday.

Also noticed that Duracell is now owned by Proctor and Gamble, no doubt through their acquisition of Gilette the previous owner. Strange product for a soap powder maker, but then it is a strange old world.
