Dickie have two trams at 15 euros each. scale is right for 7mm/foot "O" gauge Alyn

So that's who makes them! I bought a four section one at a car boot sale for 2 euro without its box. Not a bad model at all.

Does it run on proper track?

And if so, what gauge?

I had a Dickie ICE Train that ran on my LGB track, but the small wheels didn't like the point work....

Hi. I've just checked mine and it looks about 42mm centre to centre - I say centre because the wheels are double flanged! The wheels are about 15mm dia. As everything is fived with metal screws it might be possible to make and fit some small dia "0" gauge wheels.

On second thoughts, the wheels may have had tyres (removed by little fingers before consigned to the car boot). Mine had loads of "city scape" decals which I peeled off. I took some pics this morning and measured the overall length - approx 630mm (should go to Specsavers really) and the "middle" sections measure 175mm inc articulation bellows (at one end) so the the three section shown by Alyn would be around 455mm.

The plug doors open with the small, relatively unobtrusive, thumb wheel above each door. The bellows are a bit too stiff for a motorized car so would need some alteration. I thought I might respray mine and make a diorama.

These seem to have resurfaced, under the brand Motor Zone by peterkin.co.uk
Can't find anything on the web, though.
I found this in a Blackpool market last weekend £14.99:-

Very reminiscient of Geneva's Cityrunner.
Currently known as Flexity.

Nah, that's a duff watch :rolf:
I see these trams all the time in the toy departments of the city stores in Trier (not that I hang around toy stores, officer)
D'oh, I just checked and Dickie is a german company so obviously they would be in german toy stores
