Hello forum members,
I'm new to G scale and had been modeling HO for years but since I have moved to an area with a larger yard i look forward to adding a backyard railroad. As i progress through building the railroad i will be asking many questions and look forward to communicating with the members exchanging information and learning about G scale.
Thank you,
Mopguy1957, (Larry)

Welcome Larry! This forum is a great source of information and encouragement. Be sure to post lots of picures but watch out for the (sometimes obscure) British humour.

Welcome to the forum Larry....

be welcome, and try to follow the "short-cut" path.

beginning by throwing down on the dirt, whatever track you got.
nothing more motivating, than seeing a train going roundy-round, while you work on your perfect rail empire.

we all want the perfect layout. and often get stuck in details, till the fun leaves.
provisional solutions let you advance quick - and teach you, what goes and what not.
and they give you the possibility, later to replace provisional solutions with perfect solutions.

thinking longterm, there is no greater danger than boredom - the boredom of a finished layout.

Welcome Larry. Take your time and don't bite of more than you can chew, start small and expand over time. As Korm.says, a lot of fun is in the construction, and changes in track plans are quite normal!

Welcome aboard Larry.

Welcome Larry, enjoy the info, and as already been mentioned, don't forget the photos of your railway journey.
