Hi, was looking at your Lil Bug Hauler saddletanker bash (nice work BTW) and was curious to ask, why leave the piston cylinders on?

Here's why I ask, I also have the LBH Saddletanker and the other little engine which I converted to add the missing siderods and I notice during this conversion that once the stock cylinders were removed, the engine became an almost perfect inside cylinder locomotive very typical of British and Export locomotives.

The stock cylinders are just slid into the mounting slots, might consider seeing what you think of one without the cylinders, you could always just pop them back in place in you don't like the results, just a thought.

hi victor
yes you are right it would look nice without the pistons but someone in the factory got over excited with the glue as the grandkids like it as it is i thought o well . have just been and bought another one with a tender .hopefully this will become one with side tanks and a skirt and the tender another snow plough with a twist .

Thats cool, I like my LBH's , if your feeling particularly brave you could try adding siderods like I did (plus a few more detail bits) it makes a nice difference.
