Whilst it is nice to get information in this way I am not quite sure that we want the New Posts being clogged up with multiple entries from Gaugemaster or any other Shop. On opening the site I usually look to see if I have any alerts commenting on any of my posts then go to the New Posts. This morning it was a long list only from Gaugemaster. What do you all think?

Note the comments above are not meant to be controversial, just my views to give the Mods some concept of where we should go with this aspect of the Forum.

I have removed this feed as its a shop not a manufacturer.

All news feeds must now be moderator approved before content is displayed.

If it had all been in one post, it wouldn't be too much of a problem! I read all posts - hoping I might learn something!

Gaugemaster is a tricky one, because they are the sole importer for lots of our stuff.

As has been explained to me today, by a happy retailer, Gaugemaster play ball and only sell at list price, leaving the other retailers the option to discount.

So, as a news feed from the sole importer, the Guagemaster information could be useful (in an appropriately readable manner) but most of us would be able to buy the items in time from our regular shop. You could, of course, buy from Gaugemaster if you so wished, unless your name is Mel Turbutt :devil::devil:

Personally, I don't have an axe to grind as the majority of their items are not in my scale, and I'm happy to leave these decisions to the management :mask::mask::mask::mask:

Interesting - the open coach I got recently was heavily discounted at Gaugemaster (but beaten by Garden Railway center).

A manufacturer's promotion or...................

.........maybe what the retailers' eyes don't see, their wallets don't grieve over :tmi::tmi:

Oh come on, it was only one eensy teeny weeny Wangerooge diesel, and it was the weekend. But he burst a big end when they told him it was aready gone. I was so sad for him, the tears rolled down my cheeks
Anyway I would let Gaugemaster 'in' as they are good guys - of course they will have to respect the mod rules but they are worth having around.
Mel? He got a Wangerooge from somewhere else in the end.

Yes it was only a tinsy winsy Gmeinder diesel, but they had taken his money, then sold the loco to someone else. But it was a long time ago, and there are other traders who have made equally worthy faux pas

Wangerooge?

We know a song about that! Don't we children?....
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Mmmmm the trouble with those locos is that while they are now used on the holiday isle of Wangerooge, their predecessors were used at Peenemunde.

They go like a rocket - sorry, couldn't resist
