Dunno how I missed this but a very nice job Phil :) Still trying to find an HOm one at a sensible price as the missus is Em, for some reason when we went to the RhB she wasn't delighted when this pulled the first train she went on. The comment was" my names not Ems" Some people just can't appreciate the lengths I go to to make them like the RhB!

Some women are ungrateful.

Wouldn't dare say that if you were further north though:thinking:

I have used the Satin one on water slide transfers and it worked perfectly. Best of luck.

So far I am experiencing reaction with either the ink or transfer. Did you find that to?

No but I put on about 20 extreamly light coats.

I've had that problem Phil. I think it's all to do with the ink used to print the transfers. I even had some that I left for 12 months to see if the ink became any more permanent - but still the same problem as soon as the slightest bit of varnish touched them.................... sorry :@

Mel the problem is that the lacquer goes like grease in water. It seems to pool in blotches.
Just tried a light rub of 400 wet & dry. Just have to very careful.
Back in ten mins when dry

Thats oil or grease on the panel in the absence of having any "panel wipe" use a clean never been used before dry scotch pad make sure you hands are very clean. you could use alchol (not the pub type) and as has been said dust the paint on 5 mins between coats

Tony

Hi Tony thats my thinking but this is happening as soon as you spray the ink to seal it on to the paper. Even before hands have reached it

i can only suggest spraying 2 or 3 very light dusty coats that dont flow (its when the paint flows that it pulls away from an area) when covered you can tickle it down with wet and dry before trying again. but remember the previous dusty coats may reflow when reactivate by the new paints thinners so take it easy and not to thicker coats

Thanks to all that have helped with the transfers, and all that have shown an interest

Spooky as I logged in tonight, I thought nothing from Phil recently
I was just going to ask if anybody knew if you were ok or away.

Stiil around Trevor, just been busy at home moving our daughter and decorating, building new base boards for the club layout , trying to get the windscreens out of this thing. Enough ??????????????????
