After holding the £39 price for three years, we have suffered greatly from the 16% drop in value of sterling, over the past six months, against our currency. We have tightened our belts in the hope that sterling would recover but the experts say that there is little likelyhood of that in the short term. Therefore we have reluctantly decided to increase the price of MyLocoSound soundcards from £39 to £45 on 1st February. Until then, all orders will be processed at the existing £39 price.

Regards
Peter

Nothing like Free Market floating exchange rates to screw up your marketting.

But Hey!!! It is surely cheap to visit Australia right now.

Still good value Peter.

One thing - been working with exchange rates for a long time now and have realised that the "experts" are driving with a blacked-out windscreen and are steering using the same rear view mirror as the rest of us. They hit things quite often.

Tony, it's a pity but Sterling dropping by 16% makes it more expensive for us to visit Oz, not cheaper.

Hello Graham.
I must be getting senile. You are absolutely correct. The exchange rate makes it makes it less expensive for us to go back "home". But I don't think I could handle the weather such as it is at the moment even if I could afforc to make the trip.
Not that we are immune from Climate Change either.
We are in the height of summer here and over the weekend there were light snowfalls not 20 minutes from here up in the Dandenong Ranges. Heck, it doesn't usually snow there even in winter.

Even though Peter needs to raise the price a smidgen it still leaves him with the best value for money sound on the market.
I am currently working on a battery R/C conversion of the new Bachmann Thomas and I can get, 2,000 mah batteries, R/C and MyLocosound all inside the body shell.
I think Percy may be more of a challenge.

I surely will Peter.

The actual installation will take only a couple of days once I get the battery packs sorted out. 2 x 4.8 volts but two different shapes. I do know the shapes I ordered are off the shelf and used by R/C planes etc.
