My Un-named G Scale Micro

Hello all,
Just thought i would post a few pictures of my G scale micro. The board is 7 foot by 1 foot from a previous 0-16.5 layout. 2 straight lines really, its exsistence is justified by a small coal and water stage for smaller locos out in the sticks. Track is Peco G45. The coal platform is built from 3mm mdf with pine supports and dowel. Each plank is scored into the mdf with 610(!) drilled holes to represent nails. It is a solid bit of kit. The grass is hanging basket liner, perfect for the wild grass look. The layout is more of a moving diorama for showing off locos and rolling stock. Anyway, picture time!

I do apologise for the picture quality. I bit more ballasting has been done since these pics were taken.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome, and most importantly, thanks for looking.
Cheers
Rob

Thanks Gizzy. Im designing it to be universal so i can run Thomas and real world locos so i can entertain adults and kids alike (you decide which is for which...)

I'm away later this week, so I'll get back to you early next week, Rob Maybe by then we can communicate by private messsages. If not, we'll have to try other means.

1x7 is pretty big for a Micro, lots of potential. Please keep us updated on the progress, there are a few Micro Layout fans here who love seeing other layouts:

My latest 1x4 Micro under construction:

I would suggest adding a switch or sector plate just to add operations interest, good luck.

Evening everyone!
Thanks to the glorious weather i have managed to get a bit more done.
Playmofire: No problems. Shall chat when you get back.
Lowty1: I can do better than a track plan:

Vsmith: It is rather large for a micro i admit, but it offered me plenty of room for plenty of locos, plus i had the board going spare. Unfortunately the forum said i did not have the permission to view your micro :(.
Anyway, picture time!
