hey, it worked. with my nw2 and spreewald loco. kept cutting out with my dads lgb austrian rod driver. so no urgency right now to get new. i do though fancy a new 5amp lgb controller with wireless capabilities. cant justify mts. on my layout.

its a great runner steve, very very powerfull, it puts the tractive effort of LGB to shame, and they all have traction tyres where as the nw-2 does not.

Never mind the drawing, its the design that counts, and thats a clever plan.. I like the figure-of-eight which looks like a reverse loop loop, and the fact that you don't even need to worry about changing the points unless you want to. Is there a preferred direction for trains through each the curves at the right hand end ?

Trains heading up the garden from the patio on the right hand side turn right at Bad Cat Jn. Trains going up the left hand side of the garden trail off to the left.

This is due to the gradients, but depending on what loco is pulling what train, they can often travel any direction i choose. All the points are sprung.

What did you use to keep the cement away from the rails in your crossing?

I'm trying to cross a patio and could use some pointers as to how to avoid a trip hazzard!
