Just checked and it's gone.

Anyone else out there got one?

Re:MTH Challenger gauge 1

You may well have to import one yourself from a Stateside dealer.
However a chat with Tennent's Trains in Halesowen may be helpful.

GRS have a few MTH locos normally in stock.

Just had a look at GRS website, and they are LISTING Challengers in 5 different liveries, all with sound, at just over a grand each - of course, I don't know if that actually means they have them in stock, or just that they are available.....
http://www.grsuk.com/index.asp?info... a direct link to the MTH listing. Jon.

Re:MTH Challenger gauge 1

I was looking for a second hand one as I have no desire to part with over a grand for one.
Thanks for the input though guys.
Cheers

Best price is probably to be had ordering from the US and if sent by a courier will arrives with 5 days.

.... remembering to add 20% VAT that you will most likely be stung for, they're not going to let a parcel of that size/value through untaxed - PLUS the legalised extortion (sorry, I meant to say "Parcelforce Clearance Fee")..... :@

Jon.

Re:MTH Challenger gauge 1

Got mine last year from the States for under a grand in dollars - had to pay vat, the usual fee to Parcel Force, shipping, but no import duty - whole lot was still well under a grand in pounds.

Re:MTH Challenger gauge 1

Theres NO import duty on Model goods just !! VAT @ 20% on the cost price of the item AND the shipping +Insurance charge ( And the PF handling fee as mentioned above £8.00)

Re:MTH Challenger gauge 1

Hi

Dont know if you are still interested in a MTH Challenger but one has appeared on UK e-bay @ £499 to start.

Good luck

Re:MTH Challenger gauge 1

Cheers for that Richie.
I bought the one from Pete at Wagon and Carriage for a good price, hardly ever used.
Trouble is it's grey so it is up for a repaint into Black and silver with a nice weathering job too. Getting some decals made by the chap that advertised on here, so we will see how they turn out.
Cheers
