Modules leave out or bring in over winter?

Opinions please.

Just wondering what others do with DCC modules (Points etc.) over the winter months.

Mine are in waterproof junction boxes, one is also inside a building, with plug in connectors so they can be removed if necessary.
As confident as I can be they will not get wet from water ingress, just wondering on the potential for condensation damage.

As long as they are protected from the worst of the weather..

There should be some way for the enclosure to 'breath', and a small drain-hole, at the lowest point. - I have yet to find a *really* water-tight enclosure.
Other proviso, is you MUST turn the power OFF! - If you do not do this, any condensation plus small potential differences across the electronics, will cause the copper tracks to disappear, over time, due to electrolysis.

Mine live outside under buildings, raise off the ground on a small block of wood. Rather than trying to waterproof the enclosure, I allow it to breathe. Waterproof boxes can get condensation in them.

mine are fitted in to the roofs of buildings and are left out all year round, only been 2 winters mind but all seems OK haven't had any problems, the reversing unit which looks less complicated has been out for 5 years now alos with no problems.
