Lovely smooth movement.

You see so many model automated crossing gates severely "jerking" up and down, but not these.

Those are really really nice....
the only thing is that they recommend taking them in after a session, obviously as they are not entirely weather-proof.
But with a bit of `fettlin` they should be able to become weather resistant, even for our winters/summers over here.

At present I use the  `Life Like` crossing signals with led flashing lights but with no gates or bell. They are based on 40`s/50s style and although made to run off 2 AA batteries they will happily run off my 19v lighting `ring` (the tungsten bulb model will obviously not!).
They have a pressure sensor to activate them (which I don`t use) but could be wired for an infra fred or track sensor.
They come up on ebay for about £10 or so.
I leave them out all year around and so far so good after 7 years.......
