Midlands Garden Rail - This Weekend!

Oh dear...
There was a car in the central barrier..
No lights! No warning. I was just not quick enough to avoid it. Clipped the front offside corner. Looks minor considering, but no drive.
04:35 for recovery, so if I make it to the venue tomorrow, I may be very tired..
:(

I hope you are OK, @PhilP. Cars often have a fuel cutout that is triggered by inertia -it could be that.
Good luck for today!

Sorry to hear that Phil, worse case scenario on the road at night.

Car runs, but no drive, so gearbox / clutch / differential, I assume?

Anything on a motorway you can walk away from is a bonus. It could have been so much worse.

PhilP.
Must give you a big logistics issue as your stand is all set up with your stuff to secure and get home.

Hope your both OK, must have been a hell of a shock at that time of morning.

Just me.. Jane was tucked up in bed at the hotel.

I am fine.
We is here..

Let's see if we can make enough money to cover the No-claims!
:D

PhilP.
Good you are both safe and sound if a little bit tired. Can asist with supply of strong black coffee if required. Max

It's an aspect of exhibiting at shows that rarely gets considered - hope the car is repaired swiftly. The nerves can be settled with a stiff scotch ;)

We are now back in Cambridge after a good show.

And I've brought another pair of RhB FAU wagons to add to the 3 I already have....

I managed to take some 30 pics at the show, one being Gauge 3 and Isle if Wight I decided to AI it. Very happy with the result at the second attempt, Blackgang running off the viaduct towards the Station. This is based on a line that was proposed near Ventnor but never built in real life.

Couple of things that caught my eye, apart from that Baldwin 2-6-0 I bought :) Sorry, I didn't get a shot of those impressive 1:16 scale vintage electric trams. Max

Gauge 1 action. Things we might see 1:1 soon. A P2 out on the network.
A rather charming live steam tram on the 16mm modular layout. Just avoided the sound of two screaming brats that resulted in the forced deletion of two other clips

Over the other side a rather fun brewery "tractor", on the varied 16mm modular layout. Based on a tinplate toy I was told.

More tinplate. This time of Gauge 2 and Hornby origins.

Brunels impressive Gauge 3 true to 1:23 scale station. Hmm ? Might just fit along my living room wall behind the sofa.

Something really impressive from the Playmobile group. A lot to take in.

Although I think Sunday was better than last year, we had decided that we would each have a break, and get a proper meal.
Catering possibly a little down compared to previous year's?
But:

Simple pleasures.
But I think I am worth it? :)
