Cheers here is another photo its not scenic however it does give another dimension to the railway for those long winter nights.

Looks good, worth considering on my new spur up the garden. It could also hold ballast back, not looking too obvious during day light, but makes a feature at night.

Yes good idea if you put the rope light in front of the track and pile up the ballast so its not seen from the viewing side. The light would illuminate the train. Might have a go when the weather improves thanks.
