Media Problems ?

I uploaded a photo this morning which shows up in my "album", but won't display when I preview it or just click on it. I get a black screen with "The media could not be loaded". Have I reached some limit, or is there a server problem?

Cant see any problem from here Fred - where is the post and I'll have a closer look. We dont have limits and I am unaware of any system issues.

I deleted the photo and uploaded a new version which seems to work. Strange glitch.

So I reloaded the original JPG and it won't show. First photo in this album:

Image text comes up and without the image and the link says

Whilst I do not use the Media section of the Forum, I have been experiencing that problem 'on and off' for a year now. I think my problem was down to a MS program I was using. I've gone backwards nearly seventeen years to an editing facility that always worked - and still does - although I'm not inferring that your problem was same as mine (only the resulting non-appearance of the photo!).

Hmmm.. Something in the image wasn't making this software happy. I noted at one point a 'media cannot be loaded because it contains errors' message. So I went back and opened the image in Photoshop (Elements), enhanced it, and saved it at slightly lower resolution.
After the upload, it now works:

While the original doesn't:

Some rather nice Brass additions to that Stanley.

Ah, good old PSE, I bought and still use 5.0, ancient perhaps but it works every time and still gives a kick in the danglies to modern cr, sorry, software.
