Hi All,

I am looking to add sound to a few of my locos and want to see if I can add sound to my ge 4/4 III [grusch / capito] the question I have is where would I get the chips preloaded with sounds?

I think I have the old LGB (not Massoth) pc module - can this be used to load the sounds onto a blank decoder? if not, can the Massoth central station load sounds, or does it need to be the pc module?

Thanks!

Craig

Hello Craig,
It needs to be the PC Module, I am afraid..

However, any dealer worth the name, should be able to supply you with sound files pre-loaded.
You would then just need to tweak a few CV's to your own requirements.

Oh have Massoth stopped pre-loading the sounds to their chips now then?

dunnyrail dunnyrail , Jon, Massoth have reduced the number of decoders preloaded with anything other than the "Small Steam Loco" - this reduces cost for them, Only the XLS decoder (where they supply the correct speaker) are provided preloaded.

Like Phil says, any dealer worth their salt should be able to preload the required sound for you.
