Hello. Went to use my engine with sound and was getting a constant whistle. The reed switch under the engine glass had gone. Are you able to get replacement tubes to solder on?

The glass reed switches are available at Champex-linden.de in Germany: CHAMPEX-LINDEN
Is it one of the later listing?

The pack of ten bare reeds, they say is not suitable for the LGB 17100?

Okay, if you use that LGB 17100 device for controlling track switches, etc. But for the use of regular track magnets, they should work fine as replacement reeds on a reed switch installed in a locomotive.
