Make sure the software is compatible with the PC's Operating System.
Then uninstall and reinstall the software from the CD/DVD....

I'm sorry Gizzy but that is a real **** response.

If Massoth have managed to produce a version that is not compatible with his operating system then re-installing will do nothing!!!!

Most Model Railway companies seem to be far behind on PC compatibility, you would almost think that they are still stuck in the Analog world.

Yep, maybe my quick reply didn't explain that well enough.

I guessing it's a compatibilty issue, as I don't have all the details I need from Phil.
But my (professional) experience of PCs is that compatibility is the most likely problem, followed by a possible corrupted load of the vendor software.

So Phil first make sure your OS is compatible for the Massoth Software.

If it isn't then you need to contact Massoth or return the PC Interface to your vendor if they has sold it to your friend on the basis that it works with his PC's OS.

If the software is compatible, then try an uninstall followed by a reinstall.

Re:Massoth PC Interface?

Phil,

Can you explain exactly what is happening, i.e, what you are clicking on and such and what file it is complaiing about.

BTW what OS is the laptop running - the Massoth software is happy on ALL versions of windows from Windows 2000 onwards.

Re:Massoth PC Interface?

Now you have confused me. Why should he need to register with Massoth?

Is there a activation code that 'registers' the s/w Mark?

Good to hear from Philbahn that the problem appears to be resolved now though....

Re:Massoth PC Interface?

If you go on the site (massoth) and register you can get expanded menus for upgrading. Unlessyou know of another way to access their software? Or am I missing something?

Re:Massoth PC Interface?

You need to register to access the files on Massoth's download center but you dont need to register to use the CV programming software. The Programming unit should come with the software on CD.

I read the Phil's original post to be refering to using the CV programming software and not the Download center.

Re:Massoth PC Interface?

I stand corrected Mark. Wasn't aware that they had bought the interface. Was told they just wanted to upgrade the handsets. I've just spoken to Sandy about it
