Can anyone tell me what " F9=ABV off" means which is listed in the table of controllable functions in the booklet that comes with LGB sound loco's please.
ABV is the Märklin abbreviation for the German phrase "Anfahr- und Bremsverzögerung", which translates to English as "Starting and Braking Delay". - Very roughly!

It turns OFF the 'momentum' settings that cause acceleration, and deceleration, to come in gradually..
This can be useful when shunting, as you have immediate stop/start control, with no lag.
