Right what an i doing wrong? i thought i had reprogramed the decoder too 5,6,7,8 as the default seting are 1,2,3,4 already used on my other switch decoder but to no avail apparently. This is my set up.DSCF1477.JPG

You ARE altering the switch address, and not the loco address, I assume?

Please can you show us the screen of the individual CV settings (the CV List tab)? Thanks.
All you should need to do is change CV 32, 34, 36 and 38 to the new addresses 5, 6, 7, and 8

Yes that tells the decoder to look for accessory/static address rather than a loco address, but that should be the default for this device.

I found out my old Dell laptop i wonder if it will program the current massoth switch decoder as the softwear LGB di was far better than the massoth rubbish.DSCF1482.JPG

No the old software didnt recognise the Massoth version of the switch decoder i didnt think it would knowing my luck but worth a try.

Does the Massoth software read the CVs from the Switch decoder........

If not try writing the "Programming Lock" element only (click the pencil icon next to it) and then set the value of Switch address 1 to 5 say and READ the CV (press the magnifying icon next to it).

If it reads that ok, set the value back to 5 and click the pencil icon to write it to the decoder. Then read it back again, and if ok repeat for the other switch addresses and test.

From that picture, all 4 addresses show as zero. So if that is the result of a read, that would explain why it does not work.

French: you are being assimilated by the Borg, resistance is futile (hope you guys have Star Trek too)

I can be at 7 of 9's about Star Treck a bit like sorting CV's it is .....i wish i could tap into the collective brain power

It seems (not trying to be negative) that using Massoth stuff is all about having the correct "template", and I do appreciate the idea that it SHOULD make things simpler, i.e. don't worry about individual CV's, but it seems that when that does not do the trick, you encounter a new level of detail that is not so simple.

But I will say that of all the forums I have been on, this has the best English-speaking support, and the friendliest so you are in the right place for sure!
