Marklin live steam does anybody know ?

Tony

Model railways
Question ; Does anybody know if they heat test their locos before they leave the factory
Its just ive decided to part with mine as to be honest when i was thinking about building my railway i imagined long straights and sweeping bends with large impresive locos hauling rakes of 10 or more coaches (yer right !!!!!!!!) but the reality is i dont have the room and id much rather use the money to buy more sensible stuff.
anyway back to the question
I didnt buy this new but all the tools, water bottle etc are still sealed in packets and the wheels and loco are clearly as new yet there are light signs on the pipework in the cab that it has been "heated" just wondering if this is normal from new or has it been "tested" since, I'm not worried i just want to have better idea when i make the ad
Many thanks Tony

I can't see the pictures says removed by photo bucket.........................
The heated pipe work is maybe from factory testing or soldering the pipes themselves?

I prefer OW IZ EE!!!!!!!! Looks like tarnish on the pipes from when they were soldered and not washed off enough? But now't to worry about

Very nice Tony, I run trams with working live overhead but if I need the urge for live steam I have this, a 1/10 live steam, Burrell, scenic showmans loco, no track needed!!! Runs on gas, or meths, with two tanks and burners to suit. Alyn

Hey Alyn, is that powerful enough to pull yourself on a suitable trolley??
