Loss of control with Navigator/ MTS III combination

I am new to Forum messaging, so please excuse any errors.

I have recently bought a Massoth Navigator and a LGB MTS III Central Station, connected by a wireless link. I have used an older MTS system for some years in a very simple manner, so have limited knowledge of this.
When using the new items, after a while the right-hand LED on the MTS III comes on as a solid yellow light, and all loco and point control is lost from the Navigator. The loco continues to run. I have to turn off the 240V and wait maybe 20 minutes. The system will then return to normal when I put the 240V back on. My old MTS system was Parallel, and never suffered from this.
I have tried disconnecting the point decoders, swapped the Central Station for a replacement, and replaced the wireless link with hardwiring, but the problem continues. However, turning off the battery charging facility and using non-rechargeable batteries in the Navigator has reduced the frequency of the loss of control.
The Navigator shows 1.89d, which I believe is the software update number.
Has anyone else come across this problem and can suggest a solution?

Thank you.

The right led normally indicates bus activity. A constant yellow indicates a malfunction. You say that you have tried a different Central Station, have you tried a different Navigator?

Also check the bus cables for damage. Try a different cable directly between the 55006 & the Navi - disconnect the receiver.

Just one to mention I did here that the latest navigators would not have the recharge batteries option built in, perhaps it might be worth ensuring that the navigator setting is not set to charge batteries as it will be using power to do this, also ensure you are using good quality batteries as the cheap ones do not seem to give out suitable power at peak loading.

Whooooops should read first post in more detail:wits::wits:

Remember also you need to have the central station turned on before you turn on the navigator. So whenever you unplug your central station, turn off your navigator too. Otherwise the central station won't see the navigator. I'm using the same combination of MTSIII and navigators as you and haven't had that issue before. The fact that you have to wait 20 minutes tells me that is about the time the navigator would shut itself off so that's why I'm suggesting this. Hope you get it working!

Thank you Muns for the suggestions. I have tried a variety of cables, and also using the radio link. The problem occurs under all these circumstances.

Thanks, I wasn't aware that this was important. Purely by chance, it was the procedure that I had generally adopted.

As an update to all three of you who have kindly responded, I have now been loaned a Dimax central station. When connected via the Navigator and radio link, one of my most reliable points would move in one direction only when commanded. My other decoder controls four points, and initially they all worked, but as the day wore on, this decoder also stopped responding. Loco control stayed fine.
I disconnected the Dimax kit and reconnected my very old MTS system, whereupon all the points and decoders worked perfectly.
The retailer has now suggested that I return the Navigator and radio link to him.
