I have a "Countess" but it has nothing to pull. Looking for a couple of the W&L coaches, or a few wagons.
 
Look on the 16mm.org.uk list of suppliers. All the usual suspects have done them over the years. Accucraft do some, which would be a good start. Lucky you, the Countess is a lovely engine

Often overlooked, as there no "off the shelf" RTR's made, are the Zillertalbahn and Hungaian MAV coaches that ars the actual "everyday" stock run on W&LLR. Lineside Delights, sadly now defunct, made a beautiful "generic" coach kit to represent Zillertal stock at the W&LLR. I built 2 of them. There may be an odd unbuilt one to be found. The MAV stock could be produced out of the cheap Newquida LGB knockoffs with a bit of judicious kit basing. See link with picture below.

I was hoping to avoid spending the next year making kits. But it does look good and easy to make!

I did wonder how they would look with my 1:19th scale loco. My problem is that the models you mention are all 1:22.5, and I find small coaches look out of scale. Any pics of the Countess and those coaches?

Yes, those are the ones. I agree. The Neqidas probably would need sectioning to increase hight and width to look right. Then I am not sure how undersize they are. But a bit different, offer one up if you can. The lineside Delight Zillertahlbahn kits are 16 mm but do not provide an exact match to any of the 3 coaches in use there. They need a lot of patience to build, all the seats have individual slats ( only for their bases' :D)The LGB Zillertalbahns are way too short (those pesky R1's) and again too small, proportionately, for 16 mm. Unless you want a bit of work stick to either Accucraft's very nice product or some of the newer artisan laser cut or 3D printed offerings. GRS did do some of the Stuart printed metal sheet coaches. Not quite my cup tea but another option.

Interestingly, Clarks Railworks has nothing, but I realized they are part of Ellis Clark Trains, which I visited on my UK trip a few weeks ago. The LNER D16 that I coveted is still for sale (it's meth fired, and I'm a butane fan.) And lo, they have a W&L cattle wagon, plus a Pickering brake coach.

Thank you. I only found 1 - the rest are tagged 'sold out'. Same with John Sutton - he only has 1 coach, but his is a Brake. Maybe I can make up a train.

And thank you all. I'm about to depart for my winter home, so I think I'll stop looking until the dust clears.

I did have an epiphany. I'm not modelling the 'restored' railway, so the Hungarian coaches would not be appropriate. Pickerings it will be!
Did the W&L run mixed trains, I wonder. I'll have to get a book.

The prices gave me a headache. £80 - £100 ($107 - $135) is a lot of money for a little 16mm wagon. Not to mention shipping, if they can be persuaded!

Drop us a message via the website. A lot of the current Accucraft stock is being sold on commission, so there could be some wiggle room depending on quantity. Wait til you see what the private owner w&l wagons are selling for over here...! Currently we do ship to the USA, but its not cheap...

P.S. Sorry Andy, I should have mentioned your shop in my post. I bought from you at the Midlands show about a year ago. You were next door to Graham. I bought a long D&RGW caboose from you. Goose #7 from Graham.

However, I am just about to head for Florida for the winter. While packing, I remembered the trains I have in FL. It's been 3 years since Hurricane Ian wiped out the ground floor of our condo, taking several of my trains with it, so it's not surprising I forgot them!

But I do recall finding 2 boxes of small freights - one a bunch of tippers, and the other a set of LGB mini-gondolas. I don't think I still have 9, but I know there are some. That 'Otto' is 1:19 so the size will do for W&L for now.
