Hi All,

Anyone give me a view on this machine in terms of quality (mainly in terms of is it easy and practical to send round a level loop with a decent train) and also if they ever come up second hand?

Never heard of any horror stories about Locobox models in general, certainly dont come up for sale secondhand often, might be worth chatting to Matthew at GRS.

 

[Curlew]

We have one of these at Abercanyon. It runs well with the Roundhouse running gear. However it does not have the quality feel of a Roundhouse engine. It will strugle a bit in the Winter when gas temperatures are low. It only has one burner. This Summer it has been quite happy pulling 10 box cars on a mainly level track.
