Would love to fit one to my K-27 should fit between the frames , if I remember right they were a double chime whistle with two large tubes . Does sound and look very nice . I think John should be at the 16mm show he tends to exhibit his very fine Irish models that he builds.I would very much like to get one of those whistles made by John Campbell for my K-28. I'll have to look out for him at the 16 mm NGM show. Max
The pipes either end are the standard Accucraft tubing as supplied going into that rigid bit in the middle. So no problems with flexibility Mike. Max.How flexible is your Q/R connection Max?
I installed the RCS Remote (from Tony) and 2 HiTech Servos in my LS K-28. I have since moved the control board to the outside rear cab wall behind the Engineer (to keep it cooler). I installed the rechargeable battery pack under the tender, with switch and charger pin in the floor underside. The sprockets/chains were purchased from ServoCity.com. I installed the larger servo (HS-82MG) on the throttle, and the smaller servo (HS-65MG) with a metal horn ([HASHTAG]#55707[/HASHTAG]) on the Johnson Bar. If you do not prefer the sprocket/chain arrangement on the throttle, then ACC makes a replacement metal arm for the knob. If so, then the HS-82MG needs the metal horn [HASHTAG]#55701[/HASHTAG]. See attached pictures of the controls. PS I also installed the Quick Disconnect water line connections from The Train Department (Jason)--the TD 60 Female in the flexible hose, and the TD 63 Male Bulkhead mounted in the tender wall.whats the advantage of a sprocket rather than a lever,,,
