It is completely scratch built. I used photos of real sheds from the 50s/60s to base it on.
This is the old one of LGB1

So much is beginning to resemble the old LGB 1! Very nice I must say.

Thanks Jon. This time during lockdown gives me a chance to replicate some of my favourite parts of LGB1.
I have been reading “Schmalspur durch Österreich” (Narrow gauge through Austria) looking for inspiration for more buildings to make diaramas around the LGB2.
The 1:1 fences will gradually disappear as I plant more trees and bushes.
Garsten shed is back.....

The mountain section of the LGB2 is now on.
I have the track ready and the plan in my head.
only problem is I need Celcon or Thermalite blocks as part of the formation work. A visit to b & q website says you can click and collect - only problem is you have to wait an hour to get on the site to place an order.....this is to “improve your customer experience”

Some Builders merchants are still open and they also deliver, can also be cheaper than the big chains.

Might be worth a call, to help keeps thing nicely

The construction industry is 'sort of' released from lock down. Suppliers are now largely open but only for collection of pre-ordered items.

Yeah, construction per se was not included in the lockdown, but the difficulties with supplies, and with specific spheres of operation and social distancing, have hindered a lot of work.

The FMB ( a rather ambiguous term for an organisation where you only have to pay to join) have been issuing their own guidelines for domestic projects.

My problem is most the local yards are saying they will only deal if you have an account..

I can understand this for Jo Public, wanting a bag of cement, of half a dozen slabs.. But for a bigger project, it is a PITA.

If its a bigger project ask for a cash account (pay as you go). You should get a discount as well.

Not taking new accounts, at the moment..

I can get fencing supplies, but a bit pricey (I reckon) and 'up to' two-weeks for delivery..
