I have used the shorter version, in a couple of 4 wheeled coaches and a "works wagon" and found it quite straightforward. Mind you I had to swap out the wheels for power pick up ones, and wire them together and then up into the wagon body. (To each their own way to do it.) Soldering will be required at some point to connect to the unit. Other than that I can say I set mine up so the lights come on with a flourescent tube flicker as per the instruction settings.
Thanks ! Soldering is no problem but when I inspect the coach under side I don’t see a hole to pass the wire from the pickups to the interior, I guess I have to drill holes for it?
