Some LGB motors you can change the brushes, some are throw away motors, just depends. I am betting the split has progressed enough that the gear teeth are catching, or you do have an issue with worn motor bearings/brushes. Time to drop off at a proper service dept and let them sort it out for you. Otherwise its just a guessing game and throwing parts at it till its fix, which really is not the proper way to fix it.
