LGB Feldbahn loco motor

Some time ago I unknowingly ran my little feldbahn loco for 4hrs and the motor burned out.
It has gone for repair but there is a problem apparently, the motor block is rectangular but seemingly all other known motors are round!
It is an older model purchased s/h from the Continent at least 10yrs ago.
Despite a worldwide search nothing can be found which matches or fits.
Currently, the repairer is going the extra mile. to try to make cradle to hold the smaller round motor in place but failing that has anyone any knowledge of this particular motor and perhaps more importantly where a replacement might be secured?

Until Marklin redesigned the Feldbahn range this was the standard motor. As far as I know it is a standard Buller motor & was a standard replacement part. It was used in all FRR locos & the 0-4-2 variation.

The motor in my pictures was a standard part ref 62209. I think it was the only motor used before the recent redesign & the round motor replacement. Whilst the spare I have did not fail it got so hot it melted the plastic chassis of the loco. They don't have the stamina of the bigger locos & run extremly hot.
Don't forget it needs a ball bearing at the end of the shaft. Normally supplied with a replacement.

If you can confirm that the motor pictured in dutchelm's post is the one that you need, I have a brand new one that is surplus to requirements. Drop me a PM if interested.

All the best

David
Many thanks. I don’t have loco here but will will check with the repairer and get back to you ASAP.

These motors are available from Champex Linden part
CL22209. I normally keep some in stock but unfortunately I do not have any at the moment.

If you need replacement drive belts, I have one pack of two available. Also a Champex Linden part CL30304
Hi muns I am checking with the repairer and once he can confirm the motor offered by Sevenof diamonds is the correct one I will get back to you. Many thanks.

Hi muns
Yes the motor is the correct one so I would like to buy the replacement belts please. It is pretty certain that they will have been affected by overheating plus they are quite old in any event as it is an early loco.
Please PM me with the price with p/p and your preferred payment method.
Best regards
Keith
