HI,

I'm upgrading a GE 4/4 III with a 6 pin interface.

There are 2 banks of DIP switches

1. 6 DIP switch grey - that I know should be set to OFF for DCC Operation.

2. 8 DIP Switch red - I am trying to understand if there are settings required for DCC Operation. I can not find any information on these switches, apart from pantograph operation MOB vs RhB.

Can I safely ignore the red switches? Or are tyhere recommended settings?

See Picture (I've now set alll grey to off)

Yes, the 8 red block" DIP switches can be ignored. They have nothing to do with analog/digital operation. Their purpose, as you have noted, is to set the pantographs to mimic either RhB or MOB standard operating procedure, They set which pantograph(s) are up depending on the loco direction. There are instructions in the loco manual if you want to change the pantograph operation.

Note that you need to hook the green, brown, white, and yellow interface pins to the decoder in addition to the 6 pin jumper.
