Hey all

I have the LGB 55015 universal remote for my MTS system which is really very good and nice and easy to use! I have recently invested in putting sound in to some of my locos. Now though some of the functions work with this remote i can only access 8 different sounds even when the decoders may offer more. Is there anyway i can get the remote to go higher than 9 as when you press a button when you are on the loco menu it does not give you the option to enter double digits...

Sorry if this sounds a bit strange, but its the best way i could explain!
 
I'm not aware you can... i know you can on the massoth navigator and 1200z :thumbup:
 
What Chips are in the locos and what Central station do you have?
MTS 2 Or 3?
 
I'm not sure of this but if you could afford the navigator... you may be able to get the other sounds off the massoth chips ONLY.
i'm not sure about this so don't take me serious :nerd:
 
If your decoder can handle serial functions commands, you could allways press the 1 button multiple times (i.e. for function 9 - press the 1 button 9 times).

The only other way I know to do this on an MTS3 system would be to use a Navigator.
 
Not cheap, but your worth it. The Navigator is just streets ahead of the Universal. And YES, with the MTS3 you can access the next 9 options.
Try to get to a open day this summer and have a look.

Can be got as either wired or wireless. Wireless needs a reciever unit to plug into the MTS3.

Yes fully wireless with a range of about 200ft is it?
 
Naviagator wired - Part No. 8134001 Plugs straight into the back of the MTD3
OR, Wireless Naviagator Part 8134501 needs the reciever Part No. 8133001 which plugs into the back of the MTS3.
You can upgrade a wired Navigator to wireless by getting the transmitter bit later.

The Navigator (or the Dimax receiver) plugs into the "DiMax" port on the back of the 55056p MTS3 Central Station - not the "LGB Bus" ports eh Mike?

Best up grade i did so far was to invest in a Blue bit.... well worth the extra cost and you can sell the universal hand held to help fund, as the navigator can do all those things and more i think:thinking:

I'd say anything up to about £80-£100 if it's Parallel and wireless (with the radio module); maybe £60-70 if it's tethered. Less for an old Serial type.
