Has anyone managed to separate the parts of the rear wall of the cab?

There is an inner and outer section, with glazing and wiring sandwiched within.
I was working on one, and wanted to modify the lighting, but I could not get the two sections apart.

Removed rear of cab from chassis (two screws).
Removed rear lamps and bulbs.
Removed three screws from interior wall of cab.

I could spring things apart (with difficulty) and remove the rear glazing. - These windows slide anyway. But could not get the inner and outer walls apart.

Any thoughts?

I have dismantled two of these when I painted the cab interior. They do come apart, but I'm afraid for the life of me I cannot remember how. I believe you must be missing a screw or two. (on the model that is, not your head, I wouldn't be that rude, or then perhaps I might).

Have you removed the two screws on the rear exterior, above the windows.

Yes, they hold the cab-rear to the cab-roof / whole body..

I had the rear wall totally off the loco..
It seems that the two sections will not come apart at the bottom.

I managed to get round my problem by wrangling an extra wire down through the two sections..
Annoying, as there is an unused fourth-core in the original lighting cable. I had wanted to use this to totally isolate the cab interior light from the two rear lights, but one side of all three of the bulb-holders is common (wired together).

Think it may be one of those serious ‘click in’ assemblies much like is present on that sadly deleted Playmobile battery RC Diesel. Identification if the click in then gentle screwdriver splitting (sometimes mire than 1 screwdriver) may do the job. But I guess you are very carefully trying not to do any potential damage to the loco.
