I have just acquired the three short Orient Express coach bodies but they are totally devoid of ALL parts. I am looking for suitable doonor vehicles to put these items back into service. Everything is needed, the only part that will not be used is the bodyshell itself so condition of that particular component is immaterial. Please PM if you can help. ThanksIMG_20160406_211627.JPG
 
These are based on the Austrian coaches which haven't been produced by LGB for some time Mike. I brought some second hand from different sources last year.

It is only recently when I went to GRail this year that I realised an Orient Express version was produced. I must say I liked them very much!

My suggestion is to use cut down underframes from NQD coaches.

Or you could try source them from Zenner, or Modelland or similar....

Hi Gizzy. I've got a substantial number of the NQ coaches but I was trying to save myself work as I must have a million 'work in progress' projects already! LGB produced about 15 different liveried coaches with the same body shell and running gear so I was hoping one off you forumites might have something surpls to requirements. I've got a few on mmyy wtch list on eby.de at the moment but I must have paid DHL a fortune over the last few months with the stuff I've shipped over from Germany.
 
Whatever donor coaches you get, Mike, you're going to have to repaint the doors to match your coach bodies - Modell-Land don't seem to have the Orient Express doors in stock, though they have them for several other colour schemes....

Hi Jon. I don't think painting is going to be a problem as I have a quantity of the Konigsblau left over from the baggage and restaurant cars in my other Orient Express thread. If the worst came to the worst I would just make some non working ones from plasticard. With what I have bought recently I anticipate being able to muster a rake of 12 matching vehicles, excluding the sleepers I have in mind (from extended Bachmann JS's).
 
Update. Just one coach required now as two have been acquired.
