LGB Aster K28 Knuckle coupler

Has anyone on here fitted a Kadee knuckle coupler on the tender of an LGB Aster K28, if so can you offer me some advice and the coupler used, thank you in advance.

I have fitted a few Kadee couplers, both body and truck mounted to circumvent various coupling issues on Fn3/1:20.3 scale stock. Mostly Bachmann. But not to your exotic Aster 1:22.5 beast. Although I do own an all metal Accucraft K-28 live steamer, but that is supplied with their own body mount knuckle couplers. What is your issue ? Have you tried contacing Kadee directly ? They usually know a convertion combination using their products that will work for specific makers loco/stock products. Max.

Hey sorry for the late reply, I am trying to run Accucraft ams Jackson and Sharp coaches without derailment, I would like to fit a kadee coupler to the tender as is on my Accucraft K27 which seems to work fine. I haven’t contacted Kadee but will tomorrow, thank you for coming back to me it’s greatly appreciated.

Yes, looking at the rear of that LGB/Aster K-28 tender I can see the issue. But Kadee appear to have a solution. It appears to offer both a truck and body mount option. Or is one for the loco and one for the tender ? Ask I supose. https://kadee.com/lscc_aster_steam/ Max

According to Kadee’s conversion list a 791 works.

I custom mounted a Kadee 906 for my 2 K-28s. I had to make a coupler pad out of styrene.
