LGB 3080 E01 Denver & Rio Grande Gunnison Coach

Hi All,

Just seen this on eBay. Never seen one before, is it a factory special or something else.

Seen quite a few of these on usa e-bay before, mainly in an orangy/yellow colour, not seen the brown before.

Looks very nice, might have a punt at this thanks

Managed to enlarge the pic and get a closer look you can see the origional colour in side.
Shame looks real good too, bet you would never manage to duplicate the colour :thinking:

its a repaint ????? of a green pennsy coach,
(methinks not)

which is what the E01 designation is - ie a sstandadrad 3080 with green pennsy paint
but looking at the windows thats not LGB
and someone sprayed the cleristroy windows silver-whcih is bizarre -and the roof doesnt look like its LGB either

this isnt factory for certain -its not LGB either

- i have several of the 3080 E01 Pennsy series (as they sold for low prices compared to the aspen gold versions,)

i too did a repaint to all of mine in pullman green RGS -
funny the roof wasnt painted a proper black

my guess is this may be an old, stock??, Delton -which i think did have similar windows
that stack looks too high-the cleristory portion isnt LGBs at all

end platforms do look like lgb a bit , but the chain drapes too well to be so
-but i dont think this is lgb at all
