Hi Steven they are 14.4v Nimh packs. I buy good quality RC car 7.2v batteries and then solder the tabs into series giving 14.4v

The EE engine sound does suit this loco, although I like the original sound of the one I own.

If you have a spare vac hose for this loco going spare, I could use it....
