Just opened one of these up for a sound installation..
First time I have had a 'new' MTS 3 interface. This one has a second row of three pins!

It would also be nice if Marklin had bothered to mark the board for pin1 of the 10-way as well. - I am presuming this loco is so new that I will not find a wiring diagram online? Still looking though..

Do not like the drive arrangement.. Pickup on all axles, and shoes, but drive is vertically mounted motors and only to the inner axle of each bogie. These motors / gears are quite noisy as well..
I will quickly check the gearboxes (for lubrication / obvious faults), then run it an hour in each direction. Then see if it improves or gets worse.

See the pic....

Thanks Mark..
Just had a late lunch and was about to give it a serious look, and 'bell-it-out' if necessary!

Is there still available (in English preferably) the equivalent of a workshop (Herr Haynes?) manual, or set of, from LGB, Marklin, whoever?
Champex Linden (sp?) is good, but I find it difficult to find some of the information on the site. - We did French, not German! :wits::rolf:
