Has anyone got a wheel set off a LGB 2015 or 2017, I want to change my no3 Stainz Gonobitz to have the spoked wheels like it has in service, not the solid ones, like most Stainz locos

If you have no luck here I did see some on this site http://www.allaboutlgb.com/lgb%20train%20repair%20parts.html although postage will be high from the states. (scroll down to see the wheelsets)

I think I may have some and will have a look.

These were a standard service part stocked by most dealers a few years ago so there is a good chance that some still have old stock if I can't help.

Or if you wanted red ones you could try getting a cheap LGB 2090 Kof diesel and use the wheels from that.

There's one on ebay at the moment:

Hmm, that one is listed as "excellent condition" but appears to be missing all its lights.... >:(
Still that might make it ideal for a wheel donor as you say, because it's not going to fetch much from anyone who knows what they're looking at. Swap your old Stainz wheels back onto the KoF gearbox and you've got a spare running chassis out of the deal too! :)

Jon,

If you go the EvilBay route and win this one.. I would be interested in buying the diesel body off you. - Might help offset the cost of the wheels for you.

It's Sparky that's after the wheelsets, Phil, not me - I was just commenting on the loco that DocM pointed out for him, in terms of how one (the purchaser) could make the best use of it. ;)
