Great looking.. are you going to sneak in some birds... on the gutters or window sills ?
Steady on Sean this is a family forum, and we're not supposed to call them birds anymore

We have a problem with cats ...
They delight in breaking the lampposts I've used ( lgb ) on the original terrace out doors..problem is how to support them..
Different aproch this time..im using the brick pillor as a base.

Nightmare - don't like 'em. People tell you that they're clean animals - that's because they go and poop in other people's gardens, not in their own.

I used to shovel up the s**t and throw it back over the fence where we last lived, as the next door neighbour had at least three cats. Now I just throw anything at any cat that ventures into our garden. Most of my neighbours know, and all of them still speak to me :p:p - the neighbours, not the cats of course :giggle:

Another good tactic with cats is to get out into the garden quiet like then start going whaaa and waving your arms around as you chase the cat out of the garden, works quite well though if the neighbours see you you have confirmed to them that you are nuts.

I recall as a much younger person, my father had the old 0 gauge in the garden simply laid in the grass, for those less familiar with 0 gauge of 50 something years ago they used 24v DC with a capacity to to handle motors drawing 5amps, as we know grass can get damp and visiting cats would sit on the track, father would turn on the track power and pussy cat with wet bum didn't sit on the track for long.

This would probably be frond upon these days but it was an effect means of deterrent.

The other option I have used is water, when I moved to britain and became a victim of the garden cat problem I rigged up an over engineered water spray bar operating off an outdoor light PIR, just remind other household residence to turn off before going outside, if not you only laugh once :giggle: :D

When I lived in Cyprus feral cats were an issue, with early morning catchers going out, and poisoning the cats with carbon monoxide from the engine, in a sealed container. Households had their own methods, though I can't tell you what was done with a dustbin lid, rubber matting, aluminium foil, and two wires.

Quick and frosty update, its too cold in my shead to paint, paints not drying..so costings of printing ,and foamex sheets 33.48p per kwh..(uk)
Is my current price. ..
I ran the printer for a hour printing at
228 nozzle pla+ , 65 bed temp..house was 8degrees ..
Printer used 0.125kw
33.48 x. 0.125 = cost to print per hour
I used a cheap plug from ebay that tells you the costing, use of a aplances, at £12.99? A relief to my wallet

and it's 4.1 p...per hour to run it
Which is nice ..

Foam bord..just ordered fresh sheets,,running. Low ..4 , 8ft x4ft sheets 3mm thick, plus delivery costs me
£160..= £40 per sheet..1000000697.jpg1000000686.jpg

Useful bit of kit, those plug-in monitors - used mine on the old freezer to discover a new one was 7x more efficient, so that had to be replaced :)
