The girders look great Mike, very convincing. Glad that the printer has worked out so well for you :)

Thank you, having been in awe of others on here, and the Internet, and seeing what is happening, I thought I'd best have a go... The printer officially paid for its self today.
The last set of girders were printed out.. 1 roll (1kilo) of green filament, 1 £225. Printer and a 1.5Mt's long bridge
I've had my money worth IMHO.
Everything else is a bonus.

I have used just under 2kilos (2rolls) of 1.75mm Filament, and 1 length of 20mm electrical conduit, from screwfix, I need to start on the retaining wall and the abutments next, but it's getting there IMG_20200824_144918.jpgIMG_20200824_150944.jpgIMG_20200826_124051.jpgIMG_20200827_134455.jpgIMG_20200827_103650.jpgIMG_20200829_131755.jpgIMG_20200829_131707.jpg

Well, its been a while and so a update, having bought a lgb saxion meyer rather cheaply , I decided to use it as a bases for a mallet...this involved shorting the chassey, rotating the motor blocks and valve gear,180 % moving the piviot points , rebuilding the chassey and cutting back on some plows and other bits...the boiler was shortened by 1 inch and the cab altered , cab door moved, rear window added extra domes added, new handrails, pipe work.ect.. plates are on the way from a nice man in Germany,
As well as new locos arriving for grandson ,.

Certainly the printing process would be great for Wicker Baskets, a thing that you see quite a few of in old station pictures. Just needs a more rounded end and you have it sorted.
