thank you kindly..it snowed, i tryed cleanuing the rails. i gave up after thius as it snowed dureing the nioght/..
jenny wasnt inpressed with my aim..










 
What's her aiming like? Just be careful, a snowball fight could cause damage on your delicate structures! ;D

You don't have one of those rotary snow blowers on your line yet?

The radiator grill and bonnet side vents look excellent on that Mike. :D
 
??? it doose look ghood allan, shame it runs like a bag of spanners.. will have to investigate, but on 1st inspection.. the traction tires on the wrong end..

Just been catching up with your thread, Mike. Really like the level of detail on the fire station. I might pinch the idea for the LED lamps with shades - looks effective.

You clearly have a much better snow supplier than we have down here in the Cheshire Gap. Really like those snow pix - especially the ones at night.

thanks rik..pinch away.. Finally sorted the 2091... after moveing the traction tyer axle to its correct place.. re moveing the boddy to check for traped wires, ect re setting thwe lgb large loco decoda.. re numbering to 3.. removeing the plowes and couplings.. i tryed it up side down in the maintances cradle.., power directly to the wheels.. and skates.. Skates.. stiff.. base plate off, skates given a small drop of lgb maintance opil, were they rub up to the brass shim/power plate.. and now, it runs perfectly,smoothly..
 
Nice one Mike. it's great when a problem's finally solved. :) Sometimes it can be frustrating though when you wish you'd not had to investigate lots of other possible causes before finding the critical one!
 
Good news Mike. Simple when you know where the problem is. its finding it that can be a problem.

What a fantastic railway. You have done a tremendous job. I don't know how out of all the years I've been on this forum, I've only discovered this thread today. I've spent several hours going through the 141 pages looking at the progress. It's very inspiring.

Something I found fascinating was the scratch made buildings and 'bases' you used to go under the buildings where you scribe brickwork into it to Male paths and connled roads. It looks very effective. What material is this? I would like to experient for my railway. I couldn't see the material being mentioned but I can see from your pictures it can be scribed with a screw driver and gives the correct thickness.

hi daniel, and thanks, glad you like it. the matierial is Foambord.. sign makers use it, for indoor, light weight signage... its3mm thick, but comes in other thickness.. 5mm ect .. try your local sign maker.. i get mine from a good mate, sandy, diggle vally, as he is a sign makers surpllyer..( Anything for signs) and has of cuts i use.. i use trade strenght superglue, "Stockers sells it"...hope this helps..
