Looks wonderful but I bet the transformer got warm.
Just out of interest one loco has tarnished pipework and the other looks gold plated, any particular reason for this?

Yes.. the tarnished one is mine , Facebook bargin that has seen a lot of use and it's shows ..I've refurbished it but think the brass looks better for it ..
Paul's, is fresh out of the box.. not exposed to sunlight/wear. ECT. .well till we gave it a good run..previous owner of Paul's said it was never run..sat in it's box...

Been quietly dreading this bit...
Replacing the lining on the front of the garrets water tank...
I used masking tape to lift of the remains lining..well it worked really well last time.. and it did..
I'm useing trimline yellow lining tape.
Humbrol satin varnish in a rattle can and a start knife..

Ah, you also recognise the workbench. No prizes for guessing how I recognised it!

Well, yes....

Someone suggested I needed a 'flat glass surface' to build models on...

The added heat, for quicker curing of adhesives etc., is a little fierce though! :eek::shake::shake:

Bit of resurch on the lgb compendium book relives that 20922 garrets that were unsold were returned to the factory and upgraded to digical sound and given the number 20922.8..
And cost a extra €500 euros

I guess most of the restoration is complete now.

Yes paul..posted the same day bruce emailed them complaint nothing had arived 2 weeks after they recived and actnollaged payment..
Some bits comming from South Africa from a mate over there who's got some bits for me .but yes we are 99% done for £1200
