Both wrong, Opel Kadett (Opal is a stone) and if that is a boy racer Ford Crappy it's missing the flames painted on the sides, the jacked-up rear end and the light shining on the chromed diff cover. Yes, I used to read Custom Car :tmi:

Absolutely marvellous detailing Mike

The church area and war memorial looks really good. I'm worried that the outside font looks a little on the large side :D:D

When they used Midhurst church square for a couple of episodes of Foyle's War, they had to print some special paper to mask one side of the war memorial - the side that listed the second world war dead.

Surely that would have been a custom Capri?

Ford Capri.

Well I had the first letter correct anyway.....LOL.....I was interested in them in the early '70s. Thought about buying one but a Chevy Vega GT won out.

Ford Capri!!!!
Yes, it was the Ford Capri (second version as there had been an earlier version with the front end from the Ford Classic) that spawned the 'letters' fad.

While it had always been possible to get a GT version of some cars, Ford introduced the 'custom pack' concept so you could have the 'X' pack, the 'L' pack or the 'R' pack........................or

you guessed it, all three and buy a Capri GT XLR :rock::rock::rock::rock: complete with black bonnet

and the rest, as they say, is why we all drive around in CSRs, GSis and so on.

GT, of course, will always remain acceptable, standing for Gran Tourismo >:)>:)>:)>:)
