One problem being,
Luddites (like me) don't 'do' FacileBook..
So have to miss out on certain things. :(

When you are chasing live-steam loco's, and post-Brexit supply issues, then sorting a bust webby-site can be a right PITA!

If the site was created by a third-party, you may not have access to control domains, or rights to a copy of the content.

Flu, global supply issues, Brexit..
Something of a perfect storm, we are weathering in the UK presently..

Stick with KGR, and give them a ring, in the week..

Apparently, it is quicker and cheaper for them to create a new website than repair the old. Plus, it will be more uptodate in its technology.

Not sure sure about quicker, that was posted in July.... halfway through September...

Phil, I grudgingly made a FarceBook account, since there are so many references to things only there. Then I locked my account down, turned off all the tracking stuff, disallowed any "friend requests", and posted on my page as why it is there and to contact me by email.

I guess that makes me an "advanced" luddite hah!

Facebook chucked me off as I didn't comply with their rules. My sin, I didn't send them a photo.

Nice to know they are still alive. I was assuming the worst when the usual bookmarked website url would not respond. Thanks for the heads up Shed & Playmofire. After Andrew Steel, of GRC, retired they became the only other place one could reliably find new Fn3 stock. Otherwise its Ebay and keep an eye on a GRS. Max

I've completely avoided FaceBook until now and don't intend to buckle. I shall remain an unevolved luddite!

I had my FB account of many years deleted, then like you have a “front” account just to access on. Line stores etc.

Not sure about that, I get lots of emails every day to help me get my website to top google standing... I don't think Flu has made a lot more businesses, more people working from home, more people on "welfare" and extended unemployment, but not more businesses.

It has made online shopping for existing businesses more important though, and after researching (because of your comment), there's a fair demand.

But I cannot find a shortage of people to "help" me.

Greg

Well, there are a lot more people wanting websites for business now and a limited number of people to create them.
From what I have seen there are plenty of non-bespoke easy to buy systems out there that will have all the needs of a webb site, it just needs the savy and time to properly plan what you want to see making the best of what the package can bring. Trouble is many appear to think that creating a webb site is quick easy and simple with no effort required, here lies the problem we have seen many of those in the years since the webb was invented. Many of them being government webb sites that cost us the taxpayers mega bucks but are totally unfit for purpose. I say this with conviction as I used to specify computer systems, ok not webb sites but I understand the issues.

And too many see building a website as an opportunity to show how clever they are rather than producing something that's easy for the online shopper to use.

The whole point of government "information" systems is to discourage taxpayers seeking information or service :banghead:
They are, however, quite adept (and insistent) at gathering information about you :worried:

And yes, I have an FB account, but I try not to make "friends" with people I have not already met in person -- and not all of them :lipssealed:

Yes I am extremely doubtful about FB but some of my friends insist on using it as a (very bad) communication tool.

My sister does and seems to believe everything she reads on it! Logical, fact based rebuttals have no effect on her.
I find it useful to keep in touch with distant family and real friends, all of whom I find trustworthy ;)
Disinformation (including all ads :fubar:) meets the delete key double-quick.

Speaking of ads, not an hour ago I ran into one urging suckers to "complete background checks here, don't bother with going to the police." I was seriously tempted to refer that one to the fraud squad.
