Not exactly a newbie (been doing large scale garden railroading since 1995 in my little corner of the world) but finally decided to join the wonderful society of fellow g-scalers on the net after all these years of just reading and gleaning all sorts of really super info which I dearly appreciate. Thanks to all and am very glad to be a part of a fantastic hobby along with all of you --- honored to be here.
 
You are very welcome. I see you are from Brunswick GA (or at least that is the location the forum says you are at), how close are you to the sea?

We are on the mainland, midways between Savannah and Jacksonville, FL, and St. Simons Island is just off the coast. So, in short, about 5 miles from the ocean.
