Happy Steaming.
Hello. I am very much into live steam of all TYPES: Small Scale G Scale Trains,Ho Trains,3/4 Scale Traction Engines.Since my hands are kind of shaky these days, I just occasionally need some maintenance of miniature plumbing/and live steam model repairs.I just don't know anyone that does this kind of thing here in New York. Did I mention all the above is live steam?
I would have thought there would be someone somewhere State Side, have you thought of trying to contact Marc Horovitz author of ‘A Passion for Steam’ book to see if he knows anyone in your area or nearby? I think he is located in Colorado but a wealth of knowledge all stings Live Steam.

See service agents for Accucraft or other similarly distributed makes in the US. Check out the model boat world as they tend to use similar gas poker fired boiler set ups for their live steam operated kit, used in most supplied 16 mm and Fn3 scales. Again other methods of heating boilers can require different skill sets, e.g. coal or meths (pot boiler) firing have very different boiler design requirements with the addition of the need for axel driven water pumps and water tanks. Then there are ceramic burners, although gas fired their set ups end up being a hybrid of coal fired designs and skills. Contact original maker, if available, is best bet always. Max
