Now i have a few LGB 30700 DB Green wagons and i wanted to know is there a short baggage wagon in green to match the below?

The red baggage car you showed, is available in DR green. Well, it used to be. They're incredibly hard to find (I can't even find a picture of it)..

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

Thanks for your reply you say DR Green does it come in DB Green also ?

PS . your status is brilliant :rolf:

No, only DR green :( But the colour is the same I think. I've been looking for it's number, but didn't find it yet :(

The DR Green van was 41520. I don't think it ever appeared in any catalogue.

I take it its not for sale ?

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

The prototype only ever ran on the HSB so is unlikely to be found with DB on it. They were built for the HSB and have always been red. I cannot find out why this batch were made in green. I bought mine from Trainworld in New York over 10 years ago to convert to bogie vans.

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

Obviously trainworld don't have it any more, but if you fancy something a bit different then they do have the 6 wheel BOB mail car for $105 or so, which seems a nice price. Obviously in reality the BOB and the OBB are separated by some distance, even if they are nearly spelt the same..

The colours aren't the same. I used to have one of the DR green 4-wheelers and it was a noticeably more olive green than the DB coaches, which is why I eventually sold it. The colours were too different to look good together in a rake.

Curiously I too bought my DR 4-wheeler in the USA, at Nicholas Smith trains in Broomall, Penn. in 2001.

P.S. 41520 appears in the list of 1999 new items.

The colours aren't the same.

Oops, sorry for confusion :nail:

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

That would be prototypical. The green used on the HSB (and other narrow gauge DR lines like the Molli) was always a lighter shade than the DB drab green. Good for LGB to get it right - shame it doesn't match the other coaches!

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

Not sure if you have seen them but Glendale have two of the longer ones for £100 each in the secondhand section....

But maybe a touch to dear for a tight meercat:rolf::rolf::rolf::rolf:

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

I already have the longer one Mr Parberry.

Not so much tight but careful:bigsmile::rolf:

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

Perhaps its time to get the rattle cans out:D

James might be able to do it for you for a small fee

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

Me?! :rolf:
If I was considering a repaint I'd be worried about the opening door mechanism, but it is probably possible to strip it down and do a respray - hardest thing would probably be getting a match for the LGB green used on the DB coaches.

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

I think i will keep the length Mr Parberry

Re:Is the DR Baggage coach available as a DB version?

Respraying the doors is not a problem once you can get the windows out. If they are a bit stiff after who cares.
This one was red & has been sprayed with Tamiya "British Green"
