I add the coal as wagon loads too. Just need to weather the wagons a bit ...

Yet another masterclass Mike, get yourself a brew
 
Brilliant Mike. Since seeing your tip about sticking on nameplates with silicone, it has become my glue of choice if I can wait for it to set. The sandboxes as well as the nameplates on me Lawley are held on with it for example. I really like the fact that any squidgy bits just rub off when it's set.

And me coal loads are lumps of expanded polystyrene painted black, covered in black silicone and then sprinkled with coal using the patent Duffy technique. Really works well.
